The Jaltemba bay area including La Peñita de Jaltemba, Rinconde Guayabitos, and Playa Los Ayala, has been recognized for its importance as a tourist destination.  This area is located just south of the ensanada of Jaltemba and was developed originally in the 70´s as part of the Fideicomiso of the Bahia de Banderas.  The majority of its buildings are Bungalow type accomodations (small apartments) for guests to have the freedom to prepare their own meals and feel at home.  In this area there exists more than 3200 available rooms distributed between approx. 148 accomadations.  These businesses vary in their services between some that offer only the basic services to suites with all the services of a any 5 star hotel.

La Playa

In this area, you can enjoy the soft golden sand and the tranquil waves where your children can enjoy our warm waters, for this reason Guayabitos has gained the title of the " largest natural pool in the world" and it is thanks to the shape of the Bay and the position to the Isla del Coral that our waters stay tranquil and warm almost year round.  With more than 3.5 kilometers of beach, this area holds the attention of the thousands of tourists that visit us every year to enjoy their vacation.

Infrastructure

Guayabitos has a large variety of services to offer the visiting tourist, its structure is has a hotel zone and a commercial zone (located to the south), as well as a residential area to the north.  For your convenience there area is also equipped with diverse restaurants to satisfy all tastes, supermarkets, pharmacies, discos, gift shops, artesanias, clothing stores, etc.  All in a relaxed atmosphere, with prices accessible to everyone.
